Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My wife passed away suddenly before she could change her will. She knew she had a major illness and stipulated to her chi\dren and many friends that should she pass, I could remain in the house as long as I desired. The house is fully paid for.

Her 2 children inherited the house but both live in different cities, many miles from here in Florida.

I am paying all the expenses on the house such as power etc as would be expected. However, I am also covering the property taxes, insurance and upkeep on the house.

Do I have any legal claim on the house should I wish to assume ownership?

You might have some rights to the property, and a minimium of a Life Estate in the property. It depends upon a few factors.
