Legal Question in Social Security Law in Florida

My son had SSI when he was younger. He got a job and he told Social Security about it but they continued to pay him. Of course he spent the money and now owes them. His health both physically and mentally has deterioated. He applied last year for disabilty but was denied. He called an attorney for assistance in applying again but was told they could not help him because he owes Social Security. He has not worked in over a year and I am supporting him. Would there be any attorney who would assist in getting him disability because of this situation.

Robert McCall Law Office of Robert McCall

Just about any attorney handling social security should be able to help; do not use internet advs to find representation, most are non-attorneys or they hire an attorney 10 days before the hearing and they have no information about your situation. I handle SS matters but only within Brevard county. You should find attorney knowledgeable with Continuing Disability Reviews and Failed Work Attempts.
