Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I drive a school bus, and was in an accident and was cited for following to closely.

I was approaching the intersection and two cars were stopped at the light. I began braking and got slowed down to approx. 10 mph when the sun reflected in my cross-over mirror on the right front of my bus blinding me and startling me to the point I lifted my foot off the brake for just that one second and reapplied the brake. Causing me to hit the car in front of me.

I have a clean driving record and never have been in an accident that was my fault.

I have data and images showing the suns position in relation to the intersection where the accident happened.

I plead not guilty, my court date is Sept. 7

do I have a chance with with this

If you went to court by yourself and the testimony came out this way, then it doesn't look good. However, with an attorney, good cross examination may expose weaknesses in the case. Since you have a CDL, it would be a very good idea to get an attorney in your area to fight this.
