Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

Good morning,

I realize most law offices do not provide free legal advice, but I hoping you could dispel a few fears I have, given my pending court date involving a driving with a suspended license charge. On May 7, 2015, I was pulled over by a officer on Armenia blvd in Hills County. The officer told me that she pulled me over bc my registration came back as the owner having a suspended license Dec 2014. All of this information was to my surprise. She wrote me a citation for a mandatory court hearing for June 2 2015. After, my girlfriend drove away I looked up license and it noticed it was for failure to show proof of insurance. The next day, May 8, 2015 I took my insurance card and paid the reinstatement fee of 150.00 at my local DMV.

My questions are...

1.) How should I plead?

2.) What documents should I take with me to court?

3.) Will they verify my insurance at the courthouse or do I need to bring my policy with me?

1) You should not plead based on advice from an open forum. You need to spend a little time and possibly a little money to make this kind of decision, and go talk to a lawyer.

2) You should always bring all documents that you think may help. Again, your attorney can sort this out.

3) Like other documents, you should be ready to show all documents to prove you had insurance.
