Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

How long can a license suspension stay on my record? Is there a statute of limitations? I want to drive again and I cannot find anyone to help me, they say there is no record of the accident or me (insurance co.) but no one has offered to settle this with the DOT?????? I now live in Fl and want to drive again. I have been in school and just obtained my Masters degree in emergency management and I need to drive to get a job. I cannot get a straight answer out of anyone as to whether a suspension has a statute of limitations, this case is from 2002. I need some advice fast but cannot find anyone who will help me. :(

If this is a FL suspension it stays on your driving record forever. However, it sounds like your accident and/or license issue happened out of state in which case you will have to deal with that state's DMV. Or contact an attorney in that state.
