Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I received a guilty verdict in a traffic case in central Fl. I don't have the ability to pay the fines and the insurance increase will put my already strained finances in pretty much ruin. Are there any appeals that can be filed to request reconsideration or removal of traffic points. I didn't have legal representation and I didn't understand that I was proving my innocence beyond a reasonable doubt and not the officer proving that I was guilty. I literally had a panic attack after the ruling because I'm so stressed.

I hate to say this but this is one of many reasons to get an attorney in the first place. But moving on, you can appeal if you made a recording of the hearing, or if the court recorded it (not all traffic courts record the hearing). Appeals are usually more than the ticket though. Hiring an attorney will cost in the thousands, unlike if you had gotten one before trial when it would have been in the hundreds at most. I tell you this so that next time you get a ticket you may find it wiser to pay a little now, rather than a lot later.
