Contact the Court in the County where he lived to see if he filed one with them. It is not mandatory and no guarantee he didn't have one. You can also contact local lawyers to see if he prepared one or publish a notice in your local newspaper.

Mr. Slater provided accurate advice. Contact the County Court, Division of Probate, in the county where he last resided.

Good luck to you.
