Are you liable for your husbands credit card debts when the wife is not on his credit cards or bank accounts?

If the other spouse has not signed the credit card contracts and does not charge on the cards, the spouse should not be responsible for payment. This said, you put this question under probate. If the spouse that incurred the debt has died, all assets in the deceased spouse's Estate are subject to payment of those debts. Seek some legal help.

As long as the spouse did not sign any promissory notes to the credit card company, then typically the spouse would not be responsible. The outstanding debt would be paid by the decedent's estate.
