Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

if a person dies. how does one find out if he/she has a will and where it would be. which lawyer would have a copy? thank you

You have to search for it. Lawyers don't usually keep the originals and those are the only ones that can be filed anyway. You can also check public records to see if a will has been filed by other family members that had the will.

The family lawyer may have a copy, but ask those closest to the deceased. It should be filed in the court within ten days.
