Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Did not see will, Stepmother took everything.

When my father passed away my sister and I did not get to see the will. Our stepmother took the house, the cars, the rental property, the insurance money, and the contains of the house. My sister and I have received nothing. Under Florida law are we entitled to anything ? Do we have to be named in the will ? If so how do we go about contesting the will ?

You should start by locating the Will. If it was filed for probate, then you should contact the Circuit Court, Probate Division in the county where your father resided and request a copy of the Will.

It really depends how the property was titled. I would try to see if a will was sent to probate and get copies of the titles to the rental property from the county court house.
