The will needs to be reviewed to see if it was witnessed to meet the "self proving" requirement

so you won't have to find and prove the witnesses.

It certainly can be but why would you want it to be. If you are a resident of Florida then you certainly want your will filed in the county in which you die in. If you file an out of state Will, it becomes an ancillary will. I suggest you find an attorney who can cover all the basis with you as to probate and directives. Surely you want your directives updated for the state of Florida.
