Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

My knee hurts I work for the post office I called in as an injury tried to come back the next day . Only worked for a half hour . Went home in pain . I went to an urgent care and to An orthopedic . I had an X-ray and MRI done . I need surgery . I then went for a Secound opinion . He said the same thing . They asked how I tore my meniscus . I said I have no idea . They put unknown . I'm realizing it was done at work . Lifting heavy bags and twisting . Can I still go back to my job and clsim workers comp . Since I realize know that it happened at work ?

1. You need a doctor to relate the injury to work. Your routine lifting is not likely going to support the injury being related without a specific incident actually occurring.

2. You need to notify your supervisor now about your "injury" and all about any incident.

3. You are covered by Federal w/c at work. Very few attorney actually handle Federal w/c claims.
