Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

In late December I got a deep splinter wound by using a large stick to push garbage back into a teash compactor at work. I reported it to my manager who told me to go to the pharmacy for a first aid kit. He never filed an accident report. Two other Walmart employees assisted me with removing the splinter, I ised an alcohol pad and placed a bandage. It was sore for five days. Then a week later I started to experience signs of tetanus. I reported this to my supervisor, who said it was probably a dental problem. I don't believe it is. I have no insurance, therefore I need to know if is is still possible to be tested for tetanus under Workmans comp after a month has passed. My symptoms such as jaw pain, neck stiffness and muscles spasms are not improving.

Good morning, it definitely does sound like somethinig which should be covered under workers' comp, we deal with Walmart all the time and would have no problem helping you out. I am up in Ocala but handle many cases in the Tampa area. Please call my office 352-789-7520, and we can schedule a consultation. - Ken Hesser, Schatt Hesser McGraw PA (workers' comp attorney)

You should seek a worker's compensation doctor asap. Don't delay. If not provided, than seek help from a knowledgeable attorney. Don't continue to self diagnosis and handle the legal aspects on your own.
