Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

I went to an O'Reilly's auto parts store to ask about a part. An employee there proceeded to tinker with my car, despite the fact that I had no asked him to. I asked what he was doing and he said he was seeing if the part fit. But then he started taking apart my engine. I asked if he felt comfortable doing that and he said yes. Six hours later, the car that I drove with no problem to the establishment would not start. Are they liable for the damage that they did to my car? Any advice would be appreciated. I am very far from home and my car is still stranded in their parking lot. They have not offered me any assistance.

At this point you have not done the necessary steps to even ask the store for help. Have the car towed to a mechanic you trust and have him determine if the store did any damage. If they did, make a written demand on the store. Since you've omitted that step, you have nothing yet you can even ask for.
