Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

A customer owes me over $3000.00 for work done in November. I sent out a bill the first week of December. I have yet to hear anything from that customer. Before I take him to small claims court do I need to send off another letter letting him know my plans? Do I have to give him any more time to make payment?

Assuming the payment is late under the terms of your agreement, which is information we do not know and you did not tell us, you don't have to let them know. However, sending a final letter letting them know you are filing a lawsuit might get some attention and start some communication. If not, you likely haven't hurt yourself, and you can go ahead with small claims court. That may or may not lead to a recovery. Of course, no one here knows the strength or validity of any claim you might assert.
