Well, hiding or concealing property that is secured is a crime. I have not seen this typically except in egregious cases. Obviously a car cannot be repo'd if it cannot be found but if you are going to play this game, I suggest you be working on a plan to get your loan current. Either that or file bankruptcy and tape a copy of your bankruptcy notice to the steering wheel. Bankruptcy will prevent the car from being repo'd and will give you some breathing room to either work out a plan to get current or come up with a plan as to how you will repay your debts over a 3-5 year period.

I suggest you explore one of these options unless you really have a hankering to see how the criminal injustice system works. And I don't know what you ultimately think you will accomplish by hiding your car. The creditor wants your money, not your car, which goes down in value. You are still going to be responsible for the debt whether the car is repo'd or not. So come up with a game plan to deal with the debt responsibly.
