Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I have a judgement against me for an unpaid debt. I think the creditor and their hired collection agencies have violated the creditor protection act by contacting me via my cell phone without my permission. Can I sue the creditor for this violation?

They probably have permission from things you signed while the account was open. But you're really asking the wrong question. With a judgment they can seize your wages and bank account at any time. Either make arrangements to pay or see a bankruptcy lawyer.

I agree with Attorney Ashman. You have your priorities all backwards. There is no violation for a creditor to call your cell phone unless you specifically told the creditor, in writing, not to call you on your cell phone. And if the creditor has a judgment against you they can seek to garnish your wages and raid your bank account.
