I am being sued after 11 years

I had a car repossesed 11 years ago. I got a phone call from an investigator telling me I was being sued for this repossesion. Can they sue me after 11 years? I thought there was a statue of limitations. Is this just a scare tactic since I just bought a house?

Lawsuits are not started by someone calling you, so unless someone serves you, there isn't one.
