Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My boyfriend was divorced in August 2011,his wife filed & she gave a copy of papers to his parents, then a few days later they gave him a different copy with another date as to when he was to be in court for divorce ,anyways he wasn't present&never; was served stating what if any specifications were ruled,so now a month back he was all sudden taken to child support court on content of court charges, they gave him 30 days to pay a $900 purge, however he has just started new job & only has a portion of the $900,will he be arrested if only pays some of the $900 today&more; in a week?

He might. It's pretty indefensible to go FIVE years and not deal with something as small as $900. I am sure his lawyer (and he knows he should have one, so I assume he's gotten one) already told him to get $900 (maybe you can lend it to him?). He needs to take this seriously.
