Child Support Incarcerated Minor

If a minor child is incarcerated and one parent is receiving child support from the other should this be held in an acount until the minor is released or should both parents pay the state? It seems the taxpayers are supporting the child now. Thanks

You need to examine your divorce property settlement agreeement on the topic of abatement of child support payments. I doubt, based on prior experience, if the support can stop being paid under these facts.
