Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in Georgia and my spouse has threatened to take our child and move to a different state. Is there anything I can do to prevent her from doing this?

Without a court order, both parents have custody. If you decide to file for a divorce or separation, there will be a standing order in place which prevents either of you from taking your child out of state until the case is resolved. Otherwise, there is no way to prevent her from moving.
