Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I've been married 3 years. My husband asked for a divorce and I agreed to not contest it. We have no kids/property/bank accounts together. I moved out 2 months ago. I didn't want any of the things we bought together so he has them. He wanted to use a lawyer to help him file. He was suppose to file in aug/sept now he is saying oct or november. i've decided to just file pro se. I don't want anything from him and there is nothing I have. He makes 2x as much as me and im on his insurance. I am now working full time and have my own place. he says he doesn't have enough money to file yet when i offered to file the papers when wants to use a lawyer. can't i use file the papers with the court and have them served to him via a sherriff and wait until our court date?

You can file pro se - go to clerk and ask for divorce packet or go online to Fulton County Family Section and download papers and instructions (make sure you change county name to the county in which your husband resides if he does not reside in Fulton County, GA)

Once papers filled out file them (you can request pauper status if you do not earn enough to pay filing fees)

Good luck
