Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

If I am a resident in the state of Georgia and my ex wife keeps taking me to court to get child support modified in the star of Illinois where she lives and where my child lives. Am I obligated to go to court in IL and since I am a resident in Ga isn't she not able to take me for motification only after two years has passed once the judge gives the verdict?

You are asking GA lawyers about IL law, and an order we don't have. No, moving to another state does not get you out of support obligations or further court proceedings. You need to contact a lawyer where the action was filed. You say she "keeps taking you to court" so you should already have a lawyer to sort it all out.

I agree with Mr. Riddle. Each state has its own laws relating to family issues. You need to speak with an Illinois attorney.
