Bad news - while you must pay support every 30 days, with or without court order, under penalty of jail (and hopefully you knew to put yourself on support 5 years ago, as t matters now), by waiting 5 years and not filiing legitimization, you are not a legal father and have no right to see the child.

Tough talk - but you need to hear it. You need money and that's on you. Get aq second job, do work in the neighborhood, pawn things, borrow rom family, etc. Quickly build a large war chest. Spend part on internet searches and part on an investigator, as unless you find her, nothing happens. When you do, and you'll likely need a few thousand dollars, hire a lawyer in her state to legitimize, set custody and visitation and start support.

Good luck.
