Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I was told that after a legal seperation of more than 7 years that under legal definition

that was a divorce. I wan't to know if that is true. Me and my husband have been seperated since the Easter Sunday 2000. I also want my name restored to Tavares do I need to take futher steps to do that

You are completely mistaken.

First of all - there is no such thing as a legal separation in Georgia so you do not have that at all. (Georgia does have separate maintenance, a temporary procedure for alimony and child support, but it is not a legal separation. That does not become a divorce).

If you want a divorce youhave to file one. You need to hire a lawyer to (1) figure out what you actually did do seven years ago, and (2) to handle the divorce. Feel free to call me if we can handle this for you.
