Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Ex wife got the house and had 1 year to remove title from our names to hers. She didn't and now she's way behind on payments. How do I get my name off the title?

You may have things jumbled as two things may need doing.

Transfering title is something YOU do, via quitclaim deed. The lawyer who drafted the divborce paperwork should have dealt with that.

Removing a name from ownership does NOT change the loan. If there is a language ordering that, that would take refinancing. As to what happens if that isn't done, it depends on how good your lawyer was. If you had a lawyer, he probably wrote remedies into the paperwork. If you made the tragic mistake of being your own lawyer, your options may be far narrower (and you still need counsel).
