Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Seeking to get money from loans from another individual

I need assistance....

I loaned money to a friend with a verbal agreement to pay me back and I also have the checks that were written that I got back from my bank (these checks have ''what the check was for on the: for line). Please let me know if it is possible for me to get all of my money back without having a signed contract?

In Georgia, generally, an oral contract or promise to repay is enforceable. It does not have to be in writing. There are some exceptions which might apply in your situation, but as a general rule it is possible for you to enforce the oral promise to repay.
