Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I had a TPO restraining order; my husband has beat on me before and this last time he choked me. After getting the TPO he called Verizon to cut off my phone and Internet. I called Verizon and explained the situation and that I had a TPO and it restricted either of us from changing utilities of any kind or services. She turned my internet back on and cancelled the order to turn off my phone. She noted the account with the TPO and case number and that no changes were to be made. A few days later my husband began riding by my job early in the morning; which was a violation of the order and lead me to call the police be make a report. We went to court on the TPO and was given a 12 month protective order. The very next day he called Verizon and got them to help him put the family locator on my phone and he began tracking my every move; he wasn't aware that every time he requested my location it sent a text message to my phone! Which resulted in his arrest for stalking! Can I sue Verizon for helping him track me knowing about the protective order?

What are your damages? What happened because of the error? How long between the time the tracking was added until you found out and addressed it? It is a bad situation, and there could be a lot of "what ifs," but if nothing happened over a day or two then you have no damages. Of course, it is best to get a new phone and, most importantly, a lawyer.
