Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

Hi ,

My H1 did not get selected in the application . My 17 month OPT expires on Nov 30th,2014 . How long can I remain in the US after my OPT expires ?

You have a 60 day grace period from the date your EAD expires to depart the U.S. You cannot work during the grace period. If you have a STEM major, then you might be eligible for a STEM extension; check with your University for more details.
