Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I was on leave from my job, I return to work and was escort to human resource saying I'm being suspended because they received a drop note saying I was stealing sugar. I just received a raise a week early for good job. I work long days cooking and never complaining but for my job to suspended without pay until they do investigation. They never gave me any detail when these to suppose to happen. Why was note drop while I was on vacation. I do my job and haven't taken anything or sugar. What can I do? Wrong Accursed and now my name is out there as a thief

Your employer may not retaliate against you for taking leave under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The first question that needs to be answered is whether your leave was protected by the FMLA. Did you apply, and were you approved, for FMLA leave?

The employer has the right to investigate any alleged theft, suspend you or terminate you. They generally have no duty to do a thorough investigation, and it is not necessary that you admit anything (virtually everyone denies they did it). FMLA, vacation, etc., does not prevent any of this.
