Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I submitted my 2-week notice of resignation to my job of 6 years, and my boss thought it best to terminate me immediately. I am a manager and not inclined to brash behavior. Can I submit unemployment for the two weeks of lost income they are causing me?

Unemployment is not available to people who voluntarily quit, which is what you did the instant you told your employer. A two week notice (or any notice period beyond the time you quit) is merely an agreement of your last day - it does not change the fact that you quit and were not terminated.
