Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

i have a family member living in a home in georgia.my name is on the deed.i also pay the mortgage (which i assumed)and the property taxes.my father gave me half of the home before he passed and made me the executor of his estate i took his name of of the property so now only my name appears again on the deed. my question is i am trying to decide whether to sell, rent,or move into the home i currently reside in another state.since we are not getting along and since he has lived in the home steady for over 8 years, part of that time with my father what are the family member rights?do i have the right to do what i want with the home and how do i go about getting him to leave?

Your father gave you half of the property before he passed. How was the other half probated? You need to restate your question with all these facts. No one here can answer you without knowing what is going on.

You own half the property but are paying the entire mortgage payment and the property taxes?

I doubt reposting will get the answer you need. If you want a meaningfuil response, gather all the documents for the property and the estate and probate, and see a lawyer. If you are not 100% sure of your interest in the property, that is the first step and you won't get the answer here. We don't have the documents, and you don't "take his name off the property." You don't take someone's name off any deed. Get in touch with a lawyer in the county in which the property is located, find out what interest you have (and whether it was appropriate to begin with), and then deal with what to do about the relative in the house.
