Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

My ex and I bought a home together not married. We are both on deed together and he is only one on loan. I have a nine year old son living here and do I have any rights to trying to buy this from him? He won't sign Realestate papers to list the house? What do I need to do?

It is ALWAYS a mistake for two unmarried people to buy a home together unless you have a lawyer draft a contract before you do saying what happens if you break up. No you do not have rights to buy his interest unless he wants to sell it. And no, you can't sell it without him. If you have an impasse, you will need a lawyer, and will have to spend a good bit of money to file a partition sut, and the result of that is usually a court ordered sale where you both will split less than the house is worth.
