Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

After hurricane Matthew in Savannah Georgia I have two trees that were uprooted and now leaning against my neighbors tree. They are starting to die and if they fall could maybe do damage to her house. My insurance says its up to her to remove them or at least cut the portion on her side of the fence. My neighbor just sent me a certified letter stating if they do damage it will be my fault and liability. We live in the county but it is urban.

Make sure you have great insurance in case you get sued. Who ends up liable depends in details we dont have. But regardless, if she Sues lawyers are pricey and your insurer pays for that. She probably loses absent unusual facts but with good insurance that doesn't matter.
