Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

If I sign a contract and write a check with it. Then stop payment on the check. ie seller never gets the deposit money. Is the contract valid?

Under the facts you give, the contract is valid, and you've breached it and either get sued for the bad check or get arrested for the bad check or both. In other words, your plan is a very bad plan, unless you want to do jail time and get sued.
