Re: child support collection agencies

You're asking a general question which clearly is to be applied to a specific situation.

Sorry, no can do.

You might as well ask if attorneys are any good.

Well, some are and some are not.

Are restaurants any good?

Well, some are, and.... you get the picture.

I understand that you did not ask whether the child support collection agencies were any good, but instead what are the advantages and disadvantages of them.

Same thing. Drop that in the exampes of attorneys or restaurants.... get the picture?

Ask for references.... and then talk with people who have used the angency. Check with the local better business bureau and with the clerk of the local court child support goes through to see what contact ThEY have had with the agency.

Sorry. That's the best I can do.

Re: child support collection agencies

In Florida we have what is called SED, Support Enforcement Division which enforces the Final Judgment. The pros about having SED is that they have to enforce what the final judgment states with respect to child support. Furthermore, if someone does not receive the child support due SED has attorneys to handle that. The con is that SED charges for child support payments that go through them. Overall SED is very good.
