Is this contract still binding?

I own a building. I've had it for about 4 years. I have a Laundry in my basement. It is serviced by an outside firm. I want to get rid of the machines and put my own. The company says that I am bound by the previous owners contract. The contract expired in 1997 and I have never signed a new one. They say that the contract renews itself. I went them out. What do i do?

I would suggest having an attorney review the lease. While it might have automatic renewals, there is almost always some way to terminate prior to the next renewal period.
