Re: refund

The first thing to look at is your contract with the moving company. I assume the contract allows you to cancel with out incurring liability if you were doing an inner city move. I wonder why the company took your money to begin with if they knew this was an inner city move?

Anyway, its obvious that for some reason the company is giving you the run around. You have three options 1. Keep calling and sending them letters demanding the refund. 2. File a lawsuit against the company. 3. Retain an attorney to write a letter on our behalf demanding the return of the funds and if necessary have the attorney file suit.

Of course option 3 is going to cost you more money then option 1 and 2. However, a letter and phone call from an attorney might make this issue a priority for them. I do not know the company you signed the contract with, but my advice is to decide to so something ASAP because if the company is a smaller company they might be on the way of going out of business.

If you would like to speak with me about sending a letter on your behalf and making a few phone calls to the company please call my office at 815-254-4719 and we can discuss the matter in greater detail.
