Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Notice of Hearing

I have received a Notice Of Hearing before a judge regarding foreclosure proceedings on some property I own. I am not fighting the foreclosure, I want it to proceed as quickly as possible. This was a bad investment involving a family member, that has filed bankruptcy. What will happen if I don't appear? Thank you for any advice............

Re: Notice of Hearing

You can give the company a deed in lieu of foreclosure, you can do nothing. You can find a short seller to get you out of the deal.

7 months after you are served they can sell the property.
