Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

property liens

I live in Illinois and had a lien put on my property by a credit card. I then filed for bankruptcy but the lien was never released. How can I get this lien released?

Re: property liens

Hello.

Under certain circumstances, it is possible to strip the lien off of the property through the bankruptcy case. It depends on how much equity you had in your home at the time of filing, and how much the debt is for. Give me a call and I'll be happy to review the process to resolve the issue for you.

Thanks

Sincerely,
