Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

Ok so my cousin just got arrested If cops have a warrant for for cocain search but don't find cocain but find a gun and 1ounce of marijuana can they still get arrested or they need another warrant for the marijuana and gun

They generally do not need another warrant. You cousin should discuss the specifics of the search warrant and affidavit with his lawyer.

It depends upon a lot of things. Sometimes evidence can be suppressed because of an illegal search and seizure. We would need to read the warrant and know all of the relevant facts.
