Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My friend beat up his baby mama real bad and she told the police and filed a report. But she lied and told police that he had a knife but he really didn't have one they are trying to charge him with kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. Then the girl wanted to change her story because she saw how serious the situation was. And the court has no evidence of anything only the beating because they have pictures. And he has no criminal background. He been in jail since Feb of this yearwhat should he do and how long will he be in jail for and also he had a lot of ppl write affirdavis for him as well, please please answer my question its urgent
