Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Misdemeanor (debit card found)
My friend found a debit card and we used it ($34), we are being charged with misdemeanors. I didn't know the debit card wasn't his. He told the police that I knew he found the card and I said to them I didn't know that. We never been arrested, what would happened in court (june) if the stories are different, what would be the worst scenario?

Several scenarios could play out if your June date is a trial. It could be possible that the prosecutor may offer a plea agreement. Too many issues at play here, you will need to retain an attorney because of the punishable time/fees that could be faced.
