Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

real estate license and misdemeanor?

I was arrested for having a fake ID in a bar while in college (3.5 years ago), and subsequently had my driver's license suspended for 1 year per Illinois law. I am applying for a real estate license and plan to disclose this information. What can I expect to happen?

Re: real estate license and misdemeanor?

Depending on whether your arrest has already been expunged, you will need to disclose the arrest on your application. If you arrest qualifies for being expunged, I would suggest doing that so that you need not disclose the arrest in your application per Illinois law. I would need to get more information regarding the arrest and the disposition of the case. Please email me directly at [email protected]. Good luck!
