Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

I have text and picture messages proving that my girlfriend lied about how she obtained injuries. She used the false information to obtain an order of protection. Can I use the messages to prove that she lied, or show that she is willing to lie in other to get me in trouble?

Yes, you can certainly challenge the order of protection using the messages that you have. If there is an order of protection against you, you have the right to challenge it and have a judge decide if the order should continue or not. You should speak with an attorney to review your evidence and determine what the likelihood of success is.
