illinois driver liscense dui in ky

i have an illinois driver liscense clean record. my previous liscense was in ky. where i had 1 dui. i recently got dui 2nd offense in ky. how will that affect my illionis liscense suspension ? ky gave me 1yr susspended, fines and ect. how long will illinois keep my driver liscense susspended ?

It truly depends upon Kentucky Law. If what happened in Kentucky was the equivalent of a conviction in Illinois, then you Illinois driving privileges will be revoked, and it will be a year before you can request a formal hearing with the Secretary of State for possible reinstatement. If Kentucky allows for the equivalent of supervision for a second offense, then you may be eligible in Illinois sooner.
