Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Question about license suspension

I am aware that for a DUI license gets suspended for 3 months, however I was wondering if there is any allowance for driving to work and school as I have no other way to get there.

Re: Question about license suspension

There is a judicial driving permit issued by the judge, and approved by the Secretary of State, just for your type of circumstance.

Re: Question about license suspension

You may be eligible for a Judicial Driving Permit that allows driving to work and school. That requires an alcohol evaluation and proof of employment and school enrollment. Also there may be grounds to challenge the suspension, which if successful, may have the suspension lifted or rescinded. For more information please see our website at shestokas.com which has a special section on DUI and suspensions.

THey have a limited permit for work purposes. It's a pain to get, but better than driving without a license.
