Hi. I am an Illinois attorney that handles DUI and underage drinking charges. The fact that you will be 21 before your court date will not affect the outcome of this charge, as your age at the time of the offense is the relevant issue.

Illinois is one of the stricter states with regard to sentencing for alcohol-related offenses. Typically, an attorney will be able to work out a plea agreement that will result in a lighter sentence, and will avoid a conviction. Whether or not you have prior alcohol-related charges is also highly relevant.

For your convenience, I can be reached via e-mail at [email protected], or by phone at (314) 471-5585.
