Cild Support stops when your child reaches 19 years of age. You have to file a Petition for Non-Minor educational Support under 750 ILCS 5/513.5 for support to continue. If yo fail to do so, the support will stop. Once you file and serve yuor petition on the father, the court can rule on your request that support continue.
