Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My ex-husband is retiring in August 2015. My lawyer has passed away. His pension department said they have the QDRO but they need the signed QDRO that the Judge signed. How do I get that signed document?

You need to get a certified copy of th original order from the courthouse in he county where you were divorced. Depending on when you were divorced, it may take a week to get the file from a warehouse as not all files are kept there. Call the Clerk of the Court in the county where you were divorced. They will be happy t help you.
